Iolani palace

Today reimi, ian, and I went to the Iolani palace.
It was such a wonderful experience.
The craftsman ship and enormity of the palace is absolutely amazing, but it is heartbreaking to know the history of the what happened to the Hawaiian Monarchy, and really proves that colonialism and the conquest of the western front has done absolutely nothing for the Hawaiian people. 

It really is sad that most americans don't even know about what happened in Hawaii (and what is happening to the Hawaiians.)

if you happen to stumble across this blog, take time and look up the history of hawaii, the people, and the mis-representation of this vacation isle. Maybe with more in the know justice--real justice--will be done.
